Grand Opening Weekend

We had a blast celebrating our grand opening in the new location this week! Thursday night we mixed good wine with yummy Crazy Cakes and some ambience from guitarist Collin McInnes. Saturday afternoon was a hit with the kids as they hit the astro jump and M & M Meat Shops cooked up some lunch on the grill. Thanks to everyone who came by to check out the new digs.

Here are a few images from today's wedding. It was a great Spring day in Lethbridge for a wedding! No wind and only a little bit chilly.

The girls were troupers with the chilly air but it was worth it for some fantastic images.

We are open for business at the Paramount! It's April 22 and we survived the move. There are still lots of small details to iron out but overall - the move has been a huge success! If you are driving around downtown feel free to wander into the Paramount and come have a look. Cheers! Mark

Moving - Day 2

We have phone and internet - YEAH. Thanks to the Shaw guys who did an AWESOME job... We have our shell in place - now we need to put it all away and clean the mess. Tomorrow is the big day!

Moving - Day 1

Well, moving - day one - was a success.

Thank you to all that helped out today! We were able to move most of the furniture and equipment over today. Now the hard work starts tomorrow - where does it all go and what do we do with what's still at the old place!

Tomorrow Shaw is supposed to be hooking up our phone and internet - they still have not run cable lines to the building.  They promised phone service on Monday.  I hope they are good to go!

Moving to a New Studio

Well,  the time is coming VERY fast.  We are moving.  deJourdan's Photographics will have a new home in:

Our new home is the former Paramount Theater Building.  The studio will be closed April 19-21 for the actual move and we open Wednesday April 22 at 9:30 AM in our new location.

We have been in our current location since 1921 - 88 years!  You can imagine the challenge that lies ahead this next week as we decide what goes, what stays and what ends up in the landfill!

Once we are in the new location, we will have an open house so you can all come and check out our new space.  We are very excited about it - it's new, modern and fully accessible.

Expecting

I got to shoot a maternity session for Tracy. I've done lots of work for her before but this was extra special as this is her first. She has since given birth to a healthy baby boy.
